In its continuous efforts to promote the education and practice of swimming, the MFA Pool Management has embarked on a restructuring exercise as regards the swimming lessons.

While re-confirming the different grades of ability within which children are encouraged to practice, other levels have been introduced to further diversify the swimming activities.

From the four basic levels (Guppies, Sea Turtles, Sea Otters, Orca) which have been in function during the previous years, two more (Manta Rays, Seals) have been added so that all the different abilities of the children participating will be catered for.

Lessons are tailor made for children aged from 3 to 15 years, including lessons as a preparation for Sec ‘O’ Level exams. The new format makes further allowances for those children who take more time to move from one level of excellence to another.

The whole pool ambience; the child to teacher ratio; and the lesson development, all lead to better outcomes, where the teaching and learning processes are enhanced by a fun based, friendly atmosphere. This is evidenced from the feedback that is forthcoming from the many parents who enrol their children in these lessons, making the MFA Swimming School among the leaders of its kind.

The new course will start on 13/14 April, and applications for this course are already out. As Bjorn Vassallo, MFA CEO has stated, this is another step in the continued effort of the MFA to upgrade the services offered in all spheres.
